    The Fed IV Thread

I'll start this thread with a new acquisition - a gently used carbon gray Fed IV that I acquired via a Fedora Lounger.

I received this hat during the early days of the hurricane cleanup. I had no power from 10/29 until 11/9 so I'm posting today when I could finally find enough time to recrease, shoot, and post these images.

I have wanted for a long time for this hat in this color. I got it in like-new condition, and am very happy with it.

Here it is the way I got it:

The wide front pinch was off-center, so recreasing it would be necessary even if I didn't change the look. Here it is recreased with my preferred Raiders pinch:

It's the same hat. Time of day makes a big difference with the color. The before photo is closer to the real color, as it was shot with natural light from the bathroom window.

    Thank you, HJJ.

Let's see some more Fed IVs (and IIIs, too, if you guys have 'em).

    This is my tawny fawn:

And this is one of my dailies, my brown:

This is probably how the hat looks now, after having been reshaped and reblocked over the last 3 years.

Here's a few shot of my moonstone FedIV. This is my "dressy" hat.

And, my trusty old FedIV in sable brown. My adventure hat.

    Nice hats both, k-wad.

I was going to post my Fed III, but it can be seen, in all its glory, in my avatar, at least until I change it.

You can see how much bigger the III is than the IV.
