So I bought a Todd's to find out what the fuss was.

Ended up costing me an extra £60/$90 import duty and sundry charges.

And I didn't like it to boot. Thin, icky leather and didn't like the fit.

Sold it on ebay. Only got back the cost of the jacket. Lost the duty.

I can see that one doesn't fit you very well.

It's a jacket that has many very good SA details. Todd did well with it on his own (even though some have claimed he had a screen used jacket's specs to go by, I beleive Todd has said this jacket was all his work)

It is an off the rack jacket at a certain affordable price point and that shold be taken into consideration.
I've read the curent 'run' of these has better leather and 'cut in' hand warmer pockets which is a plus.

Todd used(still does?) to offer a Custom option obviously at higher price but that would I think fix leather and fit issues.

I kinda like the fit in just looking at your photos. It looks like it barely had time to shake the wrinkles out from packing. You've seen quite a bit of lambskin in your day. Do you mind giving us a bit more of a comparison of this one to what you've experienced or what you consider "higher quality". I'd like to know more about what you didn't like about the fit. Too tight, to loose, length, sleeves, body type ??

the jacket did seem abit "blousy" on you , you may have neede to probably go a smaller size , i have mine and i got a xlarge, but to each is own , eh? ;D

Fit was a bit funny the wrists felt too narrow to me. I know that the sleeve length would need adjusting for me so I had already accepted that.

I was mostly put off by the extreme thinness of the leather, kinda papery and pleathery at the same time.

The shots on the clothes horse where after it hanging up for quite some time.

Ah yes ... i think i actually said 'burn it!' lol....kidding. But we have to remember that its all about finding the right jacket for you!... and that takes time and looking at different options i guess. ... its like the boots ... some are good and others slip the net.

Kt, I'm assuming that's one of Todd's older jackets (the arm seam is dropped an inch below the yoke?). I think Todd got a little better leather on his last batch. I really like it for fall/spring use.

But like the Character said, it's all about in finding what works for you. One man's "man-purse" is another sow's ear or something... ???
