    Some info on Indy V

A couple of links everyone else has probably seen. But, I found it interesting reading nonetheless.

How can Mutt be in it if Spielberg gets his way and it's set in the past as a prequel to Crystal Skull? And apparently George, who confirmed this with me last night over sushi , really loves his aliens concepts.

Interesting. But seriously, what are the odds of this really happening? Ford is 71 now. As much as he loves the character (and we love Ford in the role) he's kind of past his action-hero prime. And if it takes as long as the last movie to get made...well, the jokes about Indy going on his adventures in a wheelchair might not be far-fetched.

Would a new Indy film have him pass the proverbial baton to a protege who could carry the franchise for years to come? Would a younger actor assume the role in a flashback adventure that take place in the '30s, with Ford appearing in bookends looking on that past adventure? Who could possibly replace Ford as Indy in his prime? Is that even possible?

A part of me would almost prefer to let the live-action franchise rest and instead have Disney produce that animated Indy series that was talked about a while back. In that, Indy could be young forever!

As much as the idea of another Indy appeals to a part of me (despite Crystal Skull), I think an animated series (done well, of course) might be the way to go. Maybe have it as a serial type adventure with adventures broken into several chapters (like they did the Spider-man show of the 90s).

Despite his age, I'd like to see another film. Perhaps they can have him use a stuntman body double, and digitally add his face (like they did in the Star Wars prequels with Count Dooku with lightsaber fights) for action scenes. I'ts 2013 for gawd sakes, the effects wizards can do it just fine.

I for one would be most open to a new film. If it's done right, it could work just fine. I'd have to be a really, really good story for it to work, but I'm open to it. (Mutt Williams is the Jar Jar Binks of the Indiana Jones franchise, so the less of him or not having him, the better)

I'm all for it, but I'm a bit skeptical it's going to happen. I hope I'm wrong.

Personally I would like to see a reboot back in the thirties with a fresh face. JJ Abrams was successful with Trek (IMO) and it worked with Bond and I don't see why it wouldn't work with Indy. Its a similar franchise and lets face it Harrison won't live forever....
