Wow i wondered what happened to it, did it deteriorated and break down or got lost somewhere like the raiders hat block? I know that a collector got the TOD stuntman's fedora, and Harrison's Ford LC fedora was donated to the Smithsonian Museum along with the jacket, and i was wondering if Harrison TOD was created by Barons Hats, or HJ still? i also read that on a movie "The Goonies", The actor who portrayed Fratelli eldest brother was wearing the TOD HJ hat or is that a lie?

Can you put a ruler next to the ribbon or count the ridges per inch? The color wrong for any of the Indy hats. i think what you are seeing is the distressing. also remember we had more then one label in TOD.

John, has it been confirmed that Stetsons were used in ToD? I'll get some shots with a ruler shortly.

I think he meant "faded" as in "lost its color/tone". I think some of those facts are mixed up Louisianna. To my understanding, Desi or "Screen-Used" had a Raiders "Hero" HJ, but I've never looked into the LC fedoras and jackets.

I also don't believe Baron's had anything to do with ToD production. Sure, they might have submitted a prototype but that doesn't mean their hats made it on camera. They use very specific language on their site to make it seem as if there hats were used in the film. They've claimed to have made hats for ToD, Public Enemies, Mutts hat in CS, and most recently the hat used by Christoph Waltz in Django.

Plus, do you really wanna spend $500 for a Fur Felt hat? Or $750 for a Beaver Felt hat? For that price, you can have 2 of John's!

I was looking for that color that your ToD ribbon have, do you have any more of that ribbon, if so can i purchase some please , If u don't much, let me know where u got it from, and what the name of the color is. Louisianna James, I think we got mixed up. The ribbon on my Herbert Johnson is the stock ribbon that came with the hat itself, similar ribbon is sure to be available but I'm not sure that the exact same is still made as this hat is almost 30 years old!

I think John should have something up your alley that's similar. Or Etsy has loads of ribbon.

I think if you take a photo of that hat in full sun with a polarising filter as they used in the films, you will end up with the illusion of a much darker looking ribbon. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the actual ribbons were that "light" a brown.

Yes, Stetson had at least one hat in TOD.

baron submitted hats for TOD and CS but wasn't used. They do like to play with words. He also went out of the way and stated he reblocked all of Steve's hats
at for CS when in fact he let the costume designer use his steamer to fix creases that popped out during shipping and there were only a few not all.
