Re: Whatever happened to the Expedition jacket?

Nothing wrong with the G&B from all accounts that I’ve heard regarding the durability and craftsmanship. No it’s not SA, but if that’s not important..then worth consideration.

The G&B is one of those jackets that was based off of specs provided by the well known pathological liar Todd Hayes/Patterson who got his jollies by getting jacket manufactures, Indy fans, and an entire web forums ownership and administration to buy his outlandish, outrageous bullshit. He basically cat-fished an entire fanboy industry. Those ‘specs’ of course were not based on any actual film used jackets, but on one of the many itinerations of westeds replicas.

    Re: Whatever happened to...

Hi sorry if I'm hijacking this thread - my first post here and could'nt see how to start a new thread ! - I just ordered a Bill Kelso Relic Hunter (Delivery a way off in Sept/Oct according to Andy) just wondered if anyone here knows how the length falls on the back of these jackets - beginning to think I should have ordered a long version of the 42 as I'm 6 feet 1 - apparently its 23" length on the back from the bottom of the collar to the hem - I's prefer the jacket did'nt hang very low but just make it to the belt line and getting worried it will not even make it to the top of my trousers.
    Thanks

I think you would be happier with a 25.5” back length.

Thanks for that advise, it’s greatly appreciated to have another opinion - confusing info around about actually how long the jacket is/that pattern is, and how long it effectively really hangs down at the back to.

I contacted Andy and he says it’s not too late to order a long - which is an inch longer I believe? I’ve got a long jacket over the rear and wanted this to hand right on the belt line.... been saving my pennies it’s a substantial investment....

You must make a deep analysis on the perfect back for you.
Long versions on KELSO's jackets are NOT returnable/refundable.-

I'm 6'2 and any 'Raiders' jacket I've owned is 24.5" minimum, longest being 26". I think 25 is perfect for me bringing the jacket just below the belt line. Hope that helps!

Very useful indeed, thank you. The chart for Kelso says 42” with 23.5” back fits up to 6”2’ but I had my doubts after measuring several of my jackets.

I was considering going up to a 44” chest to get a longer back and comfort, but uncertain if the raiders style BK RelicH runs large and would be too loose.

Looks like a long 42” is best in the absence of any more clear info on how they fit.

    Thanks again,
    Ben
