I haven't found any evidence of this, and since they were custom made I'm assuming they didn't, but can anyone find any pictures that might show a hint of an invisible waistband pocket on Indy's trousers? Again, I'm guessing the costume designers did away with that similarity between the WWII Officer Pinks they were mimicked after, but as they were known as "invisible", they were designed to be hardly noticeable, if at all.
The reason I ask is because I've been thinking of the possibility of buying a pair of vintage officer pinks and doing some "conversion work" to them (adding pleats, etc) to make them somewhat authentic-looking to the Indiana Jones trousers for a fun project. As such, I've been told by my seamstress that they work to make the invisible pocket (which really is fairly noticeable) that they can perhaps even bring the waistband down a little lower to cover the slit so that the pocket "disappears" entirely but I wanted to see for curiosity's sake if, by chance, anyone had any evidence to support the possibility of the watch pocket actually being on Indy's pants but "tucked" under the web belt.
