View Full Version : Todd's Perfect "Well of the Souls" Jacket

What can I say about this Raiders Jacket project … it has been a real outing all in its own.

It became clear that Todd was my choice to do this jacket for me, for various reasons. I strongly suggest not trying to tell him too much about how to make the jacket (or any jacket), he kept telling that he “gets it” and has studied the jacket(s) for years. I understood and respected that, but sent him photos, a video, and talked at great length about what exactly I wanted. But we all know you are never going to get exactly what you want, and:


“Well, things can’t always be the way you want’em to be … (long pause)

“But sometimes there are.”

I wanted the jacket to look like this Harrison “Well of the Souls” Production still:

With the Iman’s yoke for a more comfortable fit.

Todd nailed it, I mean that I have no complaints about the final jacket, fits EXACTLY the way it should, I mean just like the picture above. No, I will not do a side by side comparison between Harrison and the Fat Guy (I would be the Fat Guy). Trust me, it is absolutely perfect.

My review is A+++

This jacket fits me perfectly, and I was never in Todd’s shop, he and his team are top notch!!!

Wow! I love it. The hide is perfect and that is one of the best Raiders jackets I have seen. Are there striations on the RH panel as well? The subtlety looks just right IMO. Gorgeous jacket!

Very nice. I would trust Todd to make me the perfect jacket, over someone who's never made a jacket in his life - namely me. Great job and spot on!

I know what your talking about with the striations you can see when Indy says: "There gonna fly it out of here ..."

Todd could only work with what I had sent to him, which were (are) amazing hides, but none of them had those style of striations, I'm sure if they had, he would have done it.

Again, I am 100% happy with it.

I'm glad you like your jacket! As for the stripes on the left shoulder - yeah, good luck on that one. You'd have to find a hide with just the right three streaks, and in just the right spot on a hide big enough for a left front panel. Maybe someone can genetically engineer a sheep to grow just the right marks on just the right spot. I wouldn't put it past some of you guys to try! :)

Terrific jacket! Looks awesome and dead on to what you wanted.

So, Faststreets, you sent the hides to Todd and he made the jacket from them? If Todd could source those hides, the custom jackets would fly out of the shop.

I forgot what I was going to say when you have the Novak photo there, sheesh. Oh, yes, ahem, Amazing stuff there on your back, wear it proudly, and I'm sure you will. That's the best Todd's I've seen yet.

His jackets all look great. This one was a custom that he did for me. I (OK, my friend Kurt) provided the hides. Not that there is anything wrong with Todd's hides (at all), frankly, and most likely, my next jacket will be done with Todd's in-house hides.

For this jacket, I just wanted that black-ish "Well of the Souls" look ... and that's just what I got.
