Finally had some time (last night around 1 am) to make myself a new tolliker. I have been busy with my real job and also making various hat tools and blocks.......but finally did it.

Now it will just sit on the shelf waiting for me to try it out some day....lol....and I am sure it will have some dust on it.

Its made with a cherry foot with an osage orange neck ring and a black walnut handle.

If I ever get a chance to actually use it I will let you all know how it works!

OK ---

I'm probably the only idiot here who doesn't know what a "Tolliker" is, and I'm also probably the laziest person here as I haven't checked google yet on it, but I have to ask:

What is a "tolliker" and what's it's primary purpose?

Thanks and sorry if the question sounds stupid. Better to ask a stupid one than none at all I always say.

Lol...no worries.....there are a few different kinds of tollikers. This type would help with putting a crisp brim break in a hat! Others are used for different curls on brims....and so on!

Now I know! :) Thanks for filling me in on that. I've learnt my "one thing" for today! ;)

Thanks for asking this, DSS, as I had no idea whatsoever what we were talking about. Now I've added to my knowledge base!
