Take it with a grain of salt, but apparently Disney has slotted Indy 5 for a 4th quarter / 2018 release. Here's the link.

Kinda depressing. This pretty much answers the question as to whether or not Ford will return one last time. I could buy him as being in his late 50's for Crystal Skull, but he'll be close to 80 when they start shooting, and at that point I'm not sure if I can suspend my disbelief.
Also, will John Williams still be around to score it? Will Ben Burtt still be doing sound? Is Spielberg slated to direct? I'm ready for a new actor, but this won't be the same team that brought us Raiders.
I'll give it a chance, of course- I did like what they did with Star Trek (2009) and perhaps this series does need some fresh perspectives, so I'm as they say, "cautiously optimistic." :)

Yes, I agree that this is most likely the end of the road for Harrison. However, I read Spielberg is interested in directing, but Disney may have other plans. I still think they can get it right with a good storyline and the right actor taking over for Ford. Rumor is Spielberg would love to direct Chris Pratt in this, but again just another rumor. I have a hard time seeing any other actor in this role, even Pratt. Hopefully we will start getting details sometime next year, you know, after a certain space opera makes its theatrical run.

At the BAFTA Britannia Awards last night, when J.J. Abrams presented Harrison Ford with the award for "worldwide contribution to entertainment," there was first a taped message from Spielberg, who said to Ford, "I can't wait to work with you on Indiana Jones 5. This is not an announcement, just my fervent hope."
So, not an announcement, but recent-as-yesterday evidence that Spielberg is still interested in a new Indy film with Ford.
