Best I could get really...No major close ups in the scenes where he's wearing one..

I think it's a pattern. I'll try and take a closer look at it. Also, I'm kinda of diggin' this look. Maybe I'm getting old :-[

I definitely see a pattern but I can't tell what the color is. I see dots that look like a different shade of black....if that makes sense. Like the background of the tie is dull while the dots have more lusture.

I think the base is a solid colour, not a pattern....The dots seem more complex than just "dots", but it's very hard, even on a big screen to decipher what exactly the shape is...The base looks (to me) like a solid background..No real pattern in it at all..With the dots on the top....

Kind of related to this, I was looking at the Venice pier tie as well, and the colours there are red cheque, with a yellow thread line outlining it I think..I have Magnoli's tie, and it's lovely, but the original seemed to have a yellow line running along the design that wasn't picked up...

Honestly, I prefer the full red tie, but it's cool nonetheless...

Do you know if Magnoli's professor bow tie is supposed to be the ToD one?

That's what it's meant to be, for sure, yes...I think it's reasonably close actually..The finer details are harder to grab, but it's certainly in the rough area...
