Tape doesn't lie :), it was a custom HERO not otr, Wasn't measured for me, I was just hoping it worked, but it did not,

the sleeves measure from arm/shoulder seam to cuff 25", although the way the jacket hangs it was cut as a 26" sleeve (I actually need a 24.5 to 25)....the back length measures from bottom of collar stand to bottom of jacket 26.25", bottom of collar stand to top of sleeve is 7.5". Bottom of yoke across back top seam sleeve to sleeve is 20.75", I can provide more if needed....

Ah, now those last measurements make sense. 16 inch sleeves are more for a Hot Toys Indy jacket. >:D

Good luck with the sale.

Either that or JJB is a real small guy....

Good luck on the sale, that's a fab looking jacket. But too big for me.

I would have had the sleeves taken up locally (although I have had that go horribly wrong by going to a rubbish tailor!)

Yes, I do not trust any local tailors for leather work, my bad on the misprint, that would be a small jacket lol , :)

Do Wested Indy Jackets generally fit on the small side, or the large size?

I wear a 42 blazer, but when it comes to jackets, I like them just a bit bigger. 44 sounds pretty large to me. My two U.S. WINGS jackets are size large, and fit perfectly, and slightly roomy.

What's everyone's opinion?

Henry Jones Jr.,

In my experience, Wested generally adds 4" to the stated size of the jacket. However, the sizing really depends on the style of jacket.
I had a ROTLA and LC/CS, both of them size 44 jackets with chests that measured 48" (24" from pit to pit).
The LC/CS felt baggy and loose while I couldn't zip the ROTLA up past the tops of the pockets due to it being too tight.

The Hero's kind of have a "half-size" thing going on. My size 42 Hero measures 45" in the chest (22.5" pit to pit). However the way it's cut makes it feel like the loosest, baggiest jacket I have when it is unzipped. Zipped all the way up, it fits me perfectly, yet is not restrictive in arm movement.

According to my wife, however, they are all still the same jacket!:D

Thank you K-Wad for explaining it so well. I appreciate your time. You helped me out a lot!

Just to clarify, I lost weight between between ordering the first two and the Hero. If you generally wear a size 44, DO NOT buy a 42 Hero!;)

I typically wear a 44 blazer and it tends to be a little loose because I like movement, this jacket fits a little snug compared to a regular 44, may be due to the slimmer 80's style cut I believe, there is no way I could get into a 42 though, it would be big man in a little coat if I tried to cross my arms :) .....I am not a big guy though 6', 185/190 lbs., this jacket fits custom made to me except for sleeve length, I have already placed another order, all same measurements but sleeve length.... this jacket measures 23" pit to pit...
