hello folks,
my wife gave me a corner of her garden to do a Indiana Jones themed set.
after working on it for about 3 weeks we finished on father's day
( we still need moss for the idol altar) but i think it looks cool , let me know what you think
what the yard section looked like at first

then with some plants and tiki lights ( solar powered --- from kmart)

then with some cement to make a patway with cement stencil

i chimeara ( hope i spelled that right) and added some plants inside the mouth

then i bought some bamboo furniture and bamboo stick and fencing

and then making masks from a kit sold at kmart to hang on the fence with planters behind to make it look cool

then some more add ons , and old trash can filled with expanding foam to make it look like rock and spray paint

That is outstanding! Really, really cool! Unfortunately, the winters here would decimate a lot of that so you'd have to move some inside. Really great though and really nice of your wife to give you your own corner!

That is SOOOO COOL!!! That really did wonders to that area and I love the whole exotic/Indyesque motif. The Idol pedestal turned out great and really looks like it came out of the film. Make sure no one steps on the blocks the wrong way or... OUCH! :D Also, I see that you have some snakes meandering your abode - "Snakes... why did it have to be snakes?!" ;)

Nice work! My five year old boy flipped out when he saw your pics, and is now bugging me to do something like that in out backyard.

Totally needs some of those rock looking outdoor speakers with a loop that alternates jungle sounds and the opening music from Raiders.

yea we plan on putting much of the plants in the den and the outdoor furniture in the tool shed , but the stone steps will last i have the same in the front of the house for the past 6 yrs,
